Wednesday Oct. 31st- In celebration of Halloween Wednesday students grades 1-5 should wear black and orange. Kindergartens are having orange day.
Meeting Nov. 7th - The next PTG General Meeting will be Wednesday, November 7th at 6pm in the school library.

Parent Directory- We continue to work towards building our parent directory. If you haven’t already, please take time to fill out the Parent Directory Information Form. This link will take you to a form for collecting community members' information to be included in our parent directory. This allows us to send you emails about school updates, PTG events, volunteer opportunities, and other important information.
Fundraising
Election Day Bake Sale- Mustang Baked Goods will be making an appearance at the McGlynn Elementary on Election Day. If you can help out by baking something or volunteering some time, please check out our sign-up list or contact Bailey Schendell (president@mcglynnptg.org).
Disney Raffle- The Disney Raffle has now launched city wide! Last week order forms were sent home for selling tickets. Raffle tickets will also be sold at all events around the city. If you have time to volunteer at one of these events, please let us know via the sign up list.
Texas Roadhouse- The PTG is selling Texas Roadhouse gift cards from October 22nd to November 5th. We will get 20% of all gift card sales! McGlynn Elementary dine-in night at the Texas Roadhouse will be November 12th. We get 20% of the proceeds from the night. Hope to see you all there!
Mustang Spirit Store- This week, Spirit Store order forms will go out in student communication folders. We are excited to announce that we will be having a Mustang Design Contest to get a logo for our next sweatshirt. Keep and eye out for details.
Jingle Bell Run- There is still time to sign up for the Jingle Bell Run and get a FREE t-shirt.
Enrichment

Kindergartners Visit the Fire Station- On the 19th of this month the Kindergartners enjoyed a beautiful fall walk to the Fire Station on Riverside Ave. Unfortunately, only two classes were able to see the fire trucks because they got called out. Thank you to the Medford Fire Dept. for keeping us all safe!
Grants- Mrs. Griffin received $1,000 from Citgo Fueling Education for STEM education supplies which she is generously planning to share with the entire 3rd grade.
Community Engagement
Room Parents- First Room Parent Day will be November 16th. Room Parent volunteers should we coordinating with their teachers and fellow Room Parents. If you have any questions about the Room Parent program, please reach out to Renee Hanley (renee.hanley06@gmail.com) .
CCSR- The McGlynn Citizens for Social Responsibility group will start to meeting again Thursday November 8th from 2:40-3:40pm. If you haven’t heard about the CCSR check out this article from last year. Thanks to Ms. Griffin and Ms. Dion, the McGlynn has an active club. If you are interested in helping out they are always looking for parent volunteers. Contact Ms. Griffin for more information.
