Meeting Nov. 7th - The next PTG General Meeting will be Wednesday, November 7th at 6pm in the school library. Check out the agenda.


Fundraising


Texas Roadhouse- November 5th is the last day to turn in your orders for Texas Roadhouse gift cards. We will get 20% of all gift card sales! McGlynn Elementary dine-in night at the Texas Roadhouse will be November 12th. We get 20% of the proceeds from the night. If you have any questions please email Vivian Su (viversu@gmail.com).



Election Day Bake Sale- You don't have to be voting to stop by the school and pick up some Mustang Baked Goods. Our volunteer bakers have been busy whipping up an array of delicious treats. We'll be in the main foyer of the school from 7am to 7pm on Tuesday. Come check us out, say hello and maybe take home some dessert!


City Wide PTO Ice Skating Fundraiser- The City Wide PTO will be sponsoring a ice skating fundraiser on Election Day (Tuesday) from 10am-2pm at LoConte Rink. $5 admission/ $3 for skate rental. All proceeds will be split equally among the four Medford Elementary Schools.


Disney Raffle- The Disney Raffle is in full swing city wide. If you need more order forms you can print right from here. Raffle tickets continue to be sold at events around the city. If you have time to volunteer at one of these events, please let us know via the sign up list.


Mustang Spirit Store- The Spirit Store has kicked off the sweatshirt design contest. Our hopes are they we get a cool new design for sweatshirts in time for Christmas. Spirit Store order forms also went out in folders this week. Both design contest entries and Spirit Store orders are due back November 16th.


Jingle Bell Run- There is still time to sign up for the Jingle Bell Run. If you know of any local businesses who might be interested in sponsoring us please reach out to Renee Hanley (renee.hanley06@gmail.com )


 

Enrichment


After School Programs- The PTG Enrichment will run the first session of "Escape the Classroom" this week. This pilot program is aimed at 4th Grade students to increase skills and encourage a love of math. Many thanks to Karey Cropper, Kristine Hunt, Michael Ruggiero, and Jared MacLeod for their work in getting this program going!

 

Community Engagement


Annual Thanksgiving Day Food Drive- Starting Monday, November 5th the McGlynn Elementary will be collecting non-perishable foods or monetary donations to help support Medford families in need. All donations will be distributed to Medford area organizations to help Medford residents. The hope is that we pull together as a community to make a difference in our city. The collection will continue till Friday, November 16th.


Room Parents- First Room Parent Day will be November 16th. Room Parent volunteers should be coordinating with their teachers and fellow Room Parents. If you have any questions about the Room Parent program, please reach out to Renee Hanley (renee.hanley06@gmail.com) .


CCSR- The McGlynn Citizens for Social Responsibility group starts meeting this week, Thursday November 8th from 2:40-3:40pm. If you are interested in helping out they are always looking for parent volunteers. Contact Ms. Griffin for more information.


Ethnic Pride Week- The McGlynn Elementary Administration wants to thank everyone for their participation in Ethnic Pride Week.
