Fundraising
Harlem Wizards Game- The final numbers are in the City-Wide PTO raised $2,937.75 for each elementary school in Medford. Thank you Renee Hanley for leading the McGlynn's effort for the Wizard's Game. The City-Wide PTO has decided to bring the Wizards back next year!
World's Finest Chocolates- The PTG is still selling the World's Finest Chocolate Bars though the end of March. So far we have raised $397 for our students with this fundraiser. If you would like to order MORE chocolate, please reach out to Renee Hanley (renee.hanley06@gmail.com) or pick up an order form in the office.
Chipotle Fundraiser- Feed the family Chipotle for dinner on April 29th, 4-8pm, and the PTG gets 33% of the proceeds!
Ice Cream Social- We are still planning a date for the Ice Cream Social. If you you are interested in being on the planning committee, please reach out to Bailey Schendell (bailey.schendell@gmail.com).
Community Engagement
Autism Parent Support Group- Medford Family Network is hosting a new support group for the parents of children struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
5th Grade V. Teachers Basketball Game- The PTG is working with 5th grade parents and teachers on plans to celebrate our 5th graders transition to Middle School. Mark your calendars for the Annual 5th Grade V. Teachers Basketball Game on May 17th. It's a great school-wide event! All proceeds from the event go to fund the PTG's Teacher-Driven Projects program. This program gives teachers small grants to be innovative in their classrooms and around the school.
Teacher Appreciation Week- Teacher Appreciation Week will be May 6th-10th this year. We are working on a lot of great ideas for letting the McGlynn Teachers and staff know how much we appreciate all the work they do. If you are interested in helping out, please reach out to Bailey Schendell (bailey.schendell@gmail.com).
Fun Day- Fun Day is tentatively scheduled for Friday, June 7th. Fun Day is the McGlynn's version of field day. There is a bunch of outdoor activities, including bouncy houses, a dunk tank, and balloon toss. We are going to need a lot of parent volunteers to make this day happen! If you are interested in volunteering, please make sure you have a CORI on file with the school. CORI must be completed every year. You can download a CORI Form and send it with a copy of your photo ID in your child's communications folder.
